Flag of Sremska Mitrovica
Pseudoheraldic emblem is official symbol of Sremska Mitrovica, adopted on 7th of June 1967.
Amblem je autorsko rešenje slikara Enesa Mudrića, a nastao je inspirisan tradicionalnim grbovima Sremske Mitrovice.
Emblem is designed by painter Enes Mudrić, inspired by traditional arms of Sremska Mitrovica.

Statute of Sremska Mitrovica municipality issued in Official Gazette of Srem Municipalities no.13/99 reads:
Emblem of municipality is arms in form of shield with three hills in upper part, one of them with flame above it, representing symbol of victims in struggle for freedom. Roman castle is in central part, with Roman warrior armed with shield and spear in front of it, meaning that Sremska Mitrovica lies on remnants of Roman town of Sirmium. Green land with white wavy line represents fields of region of Srem and river Sava. Inscription in cyrillic letters in upper part says "Sremska Mitrovica", and in bottom part - there is inscription in Latin "Civitas Sancti Demetrii".
In addition: hills are in gren colour, city walls are brown, half-disc (ground on wich Roman soldier stands) is green, and wavy line is silver, as determined in 1967.
