Novi Pazar has official coat of arms (emblem) and flag, legislated in municipal statute from May the 27th 2002.
Flag of Novi Pazar is described in municipal statute (article 90):
Municipal flag is blue, with the ratio one by one and a half, and charged with coat of arms in the middle.
Arms of Novi Pazar is described in municipal statute (article 90):
Arms of Novi Pazar municipality is in the shape of shield. In the middle of arms fortress with tower and hydroelectric plant with waterfalls is displayed graphically, road is placed below the plant and graphically stylized rivers Raška and Jošanica are placed below the road. In the base of the shield number 1461 is inscribed. Primary colours are blue, white, red and green. Presence of ochre colour is a symbol of centuries old city.
